Gatlinburg Inn owner donates 104 acres of land to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

 

If you’re a Gatlinburg regular, I’m sure you’ve seen “The Gatlinburg Inn.” It’s right in the middle of town, and it’s one of the few places that seems (at least to me) to be the same place it probably was 30 or 40 years ago.  And I mean that in a good way.  Well, the owner of the Inn, Wilma Maples, has decided to donate 104 acres of land to the park.  The land is located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.  She said she didn’t want it to be developed.  Click the article below for more info…
